(Kathy Cline, KFYI News) Taking and distributing pictures or videos via drone could be illegal in Phoenix by next year. District Six councilman Sal DiCiccio plans to introduce an ordinance against that soon.
"Individuals should be able to do anything lawful on their own property without an electronic Peeping Tom looking over their shoulder," he said.
District 7's Mike Nowakowski is co-sponsoring the legislation. Police would also need a warrant to use the drones over private property. Public hearings on the legislation should start in October.
