(Undated)  --  More Americans want to work.  For first time in six years, the percentage of people who have jobs or are looking for work is on the rise in most states.

A number of state employment department officials say the shift in momentum shows that one of the slowest-healing wounds from the recession is finally beginning to mend.

There are reports from around the country that demand for workers is increasing enough to convince people who had stopped looking for work to get back into the job hunt.
