(Washington, DC) -- The government's highly-anticipated monthly report on America's employment situation is showing job growth for March.
The Labor Department reports today that employers added about 192,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate held steady at 6.7 percent. Employment grew in professional and business services, health care, mining and logging.
Economists were hopeful ahead of the report, predicting a 200,000 gain in new jobs as warmer weather ushers in more hiring.
