(Washington, DC)  --  Tuesday still marks the tax return deadline for Americans who filed an extension, even amid the ongoing partial government shutdown.

Tax Representative David Selig says don't expect much help from the IRS as the shutdown drags on.  Selig says people can either try to submit the paperwork themselves, or get a hold of an accountant who doesn't mind working on short notice.

Military members serving overseas and those affected by flooding in Colorado are eligible for a second extension.
