When it comes to getting support for a cause, deep pockets make a difference.

Bill and Melinda Gates are the overwhelming favorite in a "60 Minutes"/"Vanity Fair" poll, with 48-percent saying they'd want the Microsoft co-founder and his wife funding their charitable efforts.

Billionaire Warren Buffett is taking second place on the list with 18-percent of the vote.

Twelve-percent think their charity would do well with the backing of Britain's Prince William. Meanwhile, just six-percent believe Oprah Winfrey would have a significant impact on their cause, and only three-percent feel Angelina Jolie's support would be helpful.
