Senator McCain Introduces Transgender Bill

A bipartisan bill that would block President Trump's ban on transgenders in the military is getting an endorsement from an Arizona Senator.  Republican Senator John McCain, the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, says in a statement, when less than one percent of Americans are volunteering to join the military, we should welcome all those who are willing and able to serve, including any member of the military who meets the physical and readiness standards.  The measure, also sponsored by two Democratic Senators and another Republican, would prohibit the Pentagon from involuntarily releasing or denying the re-enlistment of transgender troops who are currently serving, simply because of their gender identity.
