Regents Briefed On U of A Scandal

The Arizona Board of Regents is getting briefed on the NCAA basketball bribery scandal.  The University of Arizona's Emanual "Book" Richardson is accused of accepting $20,000 in bribes as the men's assistant basketball coach.  Richardson is one of four coaches indicted on fraud and corruption charges.  The Arizona Republic reports the Regents, who oversees Arizona's state universities, will get a closed-door briefing on the scandal as part of their scheduled meeting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.   U of A officials say they are appalled by the allegations and are cooperating with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
