Fair Rides Inspected By Independent Firm

The rides at the Arizona State Fair are being looked at piece by piece.  Fair officials have hired an independent firm to inspect the 70 or so rides at this year's fair in Phoenix.

The firm has been onsite all week and checking out the rides as soon as they've showed up on the fair grounds.  The firm says it has the power to shut down any ride at any time to prevent a disaster.

Last July a teenager was killed and seven people were hurt after a ride broke at the Ohio State Fair.
