The Arizona Cardinals have traded for running back Adrian Peterson. In return, the Cards will send a conditional draft pick to the New Orleans Saints.
Peterson has been unhappy about his limited role with the Saints this season, having only rushed for 81 yards so far. The Cardinals are hoping to find a spark on offense as they have struggled at times this season. Starting running back David Johnson remains out with a broken wrist.
Arizona is 2-3 so far this season. They play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Glendale on Sunday.
