Eight Border Wall Prototypes Unveiled In San Diego

Eight border wall prototypes are unveiled along the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego today.  Out of 250 companies that expressed interest in building prototypes, two of the companies picked are from Arizona.

Tempe-based Fisher Sand & Gravel Company and KWR Construction of Sierra Vista built their wall sections.

Testing of the wall prototypes will occur in late November by a private contractor.  One of the prototypes or a combination of border wall designs may be chosen sometime next year.

With questions of whether the wall will be built, the administrators with the border patrol might implement some of the designs to replace older, worn-down sections of the existing wall
