Closing arguments will begin this morning in the murder trial of John Allen. Both the prosecution and defense rested their cases yesterday.
Allen is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 10-year-old Ame Deal. Police say the child was locked in a small box as punishment for stealing a popsicle and left to suffocate to death in the July heat.
Allen's wife, Sammantha Allen has already been convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of her young cousin.
