Governor Doug Ducey has set the dates to fill the 8th District Congressional seat vacated by Trent Franks after his resignation.
The primary election will be held on February 27th and April 24th is the date for the general election. Candidates now have 30 days to get signatures and to turn in their petitions to get placed on the ballot.
Whoever wins that election will be back on the campaign trail pretty quickly, Arizona's scheduled primary for the 2018 election is in August.
