A state lawmaker is unveiling details of a new bill that will require safety testing of medical marijuana in Arizona.
State Senator Sonny Borrelli's bill would require testing for chemicals, pesticides and mold. It would also require dispensaries to label all chemicals and pesticides used during cultivation.
Borrelli argues that customers should be fully informed.
The bill could face an uphill battle because a voters initiative approved the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. It will take three-fourths of both the House and Senate to amend the law.
