Rallying To Keep Coal-Fired Power Plant Open

Demonstrators are rallying to keep an Arizona coal-fired power plant open.  Mine workers from the Navajo Generating Station in Page converged on the State Capitol this morning.  The Navajo Nation is working to find a new buyer, but so far no takers.  The facility is set to close at the end of next year because the Salt River Project says natural gas is cheaper.  The coal mine and power plant  are significant sources of revenue for the Navajo and Hopi tribes.
