(Mesa, AZ) -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says dozens of malnourished dogs were found at an east valley animal rescue. More than 50 dogs have been removed from Shelter Paws on Main Street in Mesa yesterday. One dog taken to an emergency veterinarian has died. Deputies say the owner of the facility could face animal abuse charges pending the investigation.
