Governor Ducey Delivers His State Of The State

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Governor Doug Ducey says Arizona is strong and getting stronger.  In his State of the State address, Ducey calls for a bipartisan effort to keep Arizona moving forward.  He says securing Arizona's future water needs is his number one priority.  Ducey also calls for reducing the size of government and needless regulation that hamper the state's thriving economy.  He blasts regulatory boards that he says are keeping people moving to Arizona from getting jobs.

Ducey vows to continue to invest in education, citing the creation of the Arizona Teachers Academy in dealing with the state's teacher shortage. He also touts the expanded focus on career and technical education.  Ducey says he will submit a fiscally conservative balanced budget to the legislature that fully funds important priorities while saving for the future.
