AZ Lawmakers Advance Bill To Restrict Emergency Voting Centers

Arizona lawmakers in the state Senate approve a bill that restricts the use of emergency voting centers. Republicans pushing the measure because they feel Maricopa County Recorder, Adrian Fontes who is a Democrat, streched state law by allowing people to vote without any stated emergency at voting centers opened in only left leaning districts.

The bill shifts authority over emergency voting centers away from County recorders and to County supervisors in each county.
