Political Firestorm After Students Claim Retribution For MAGA Gear

Nearly 50 protesters were out in front of Perry High School in Gilbert this morning after students say they were unfairly targeted for wearing Make America Great Again attire. The students wore the pro-Trump gear on Friday during "Party in the USA," day.

One of the protesters, state lawmaker Republican Representative Kelly Townsend told FOX 10 teachers are setting the political example by wearing Red for Ed t-shirts every Wednesday.

One student was suspended. The principal of Perry High put out a statement saying the administration has not and will not discipline a student for lawfully exercising their free speech rights. The school claims the students were being disruptive.
