Democrats at the state Capitol have killed a bill that would have helped Arizona teachers offset the cost of school supplies. The proposal from a Democratic state legislator would have given teachers in state funded districts and charter schools up-front money thru 2021 to spend on school supplies.
Democrats and the Arizona Education Association said the proposal was not enough money and not a permanent solution to the state’s funding crisis.
