GOP Doing Some House Cleaning?

The GOP has been in battle with itself since Donald Trump became the face of the party by becoming the President of the United States in the 2016 Election.

Some supported the ideals throughout his tenure and even after leaving office following the 2020 Election. Some did not support him at all.

Liz Cheney spoke out about Donald Trump after the January 6th incident at the Capitol and some called for change. That change may be coming sooner than later.

Elise Stefanik of New York now has the support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to replace Liz Cheney as the House Republican Conference Chair. What does this mean? It means that a vote is going to happen to see if this real notion of change is going to happen within the GOP. House cleaning may be in order and if this change goes through how will the direction of the party be altered going into the 2020 Election?
