Why We Shouldn't "Celebrate" The Confirmation Of Ketanji Brown Jackson

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has finally arrived. By a 53-47 vote the newest member of SCOTUS has been approved. It took three Republicans crossing over to make it happen but fear not they will be judged as being on the "right side of history."

Today is the eyes of the Left is supposed to be a day of celebration and one of hope for more progress to be made in showcasing the diversity of our society here in the United States of America. There was a photo taken of Ketanji Brown Jackson and Joe Biden sharing a hug as the vote went down because this is the historical moment Biden yearned for when he campaigned to have this very moment happen.

The "celebration" of this moment needs to be placed under the microscope and put into its proper context as this lifetime appointment defines what we have become as a country---style over substance.
