A sheriff's office in Washington state is apologizing for posting a meme to Facebook showing protesters being hit by a car. The post from the is Chelan County Sheriff's Office published Monday which was also 9/11 shows stick figures being run down by a car with the text "All Lives Splatter." The sheriff's office says an employee posted the image to the Chelan County Emergency Management Facebook page by accident. Sheriff Brian Burnett issued a news release saying his staff feels terrible about the incident, calling the post inappropriate and hurtful.
The incident comes just one day after police detained and then released a man for speeding aggressively through a crowd of anti-hate counter-protesters at a Patriot Prayer rally in Vancouver.
