Senator McCain Gets New Option To Treat Cancer

(Phoenix, AZ)  --  Senator John McCain gets another option for treating his brain cancer.  The Albuquerque Journal reports that the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center is running clinical trials on a new drug to treat glioblastomas, the same type of cancer affecting the Arizona senator.  The CEO of the center says UNM could treat McCain if conventional treatments don't work. McCain's  spokesperson says the senator has no new announcement about his treatment. He had been treated at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and is currently getting treatment at the National Institutes of Health.
