Arizona Department Of Education Mis-Allocates Funding

The Arizona Department of Education is apparently failing math.  The agency sent another letter to school districts outlining a second error in the distribution of federal funds.

The department mis-allocated more than $15-million dollars intended for special education programs. Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas blames an incorrect funding formula.

Just last week a report outlined that some districts received far less federal funding for low-income students than they should have while others received too much.
