Phoenix City Council Denies Bump Stock Petition

Gun enthusiasts can still buy bump stocks in Phoenix.  The Phoenix City Council is denying a petition to ban the sale of bump stocks.

Arizona law prohibits local governments from passing laws that step on state laws and that includes anything that has to do with guns.

While the citizen petition was denied last night, council members did pass a vote to support efforts for gun control on the state level.

Just over a month ago, a gunman reportedly used a bump stock to kill nearly 60 people at a concert in Las Vegas.
