A family of four from Scottsdale is dead after an apparent murder-suicide. Jason Fairbanks shot and killed his 39-year old wife, their three-year-old daughter and nine-month-old son inside their home near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thunderbird Road.
The shooting happened Friday in the quiet upper-middle-class neighborhood. Investigators say the couple owned a small business but had been experiencing financial struggles recently.
Family members describe Fairbanks as a protector who loved his family.
