Glendale Police Investigate Sexual Assaults

(Glendale, AZ)  On September 5, 2017, around 11pm, a female victim reported that she was called to meet a man near 54th Ave and Columbine Road, as an escort from an ad she placed online. She reported that when she arrived, the male met her in the park area and told her he was a police officer who had been watching her. He told her if she cooperated he would let her go and not arrest her. The victim was sexually assaulted in the park area by the male. She described the male as late twenties, white male with dark short hair, 5’9” tall and about 170lbs, with a patchy beard. He was wearing a light-colored t-shirt, skinny jeans with rolled cuffs, and prescription eyeglasses.

On November 9, 2017, around 2am, a second female victim reported that she was called to meet a man near 54th Ave and Columbine Road, from an ad she placed online. She also reported that when she arrived, the man told her he was a police officer and if she cooperated she would be let go without arrest. She was also sexually assaulted in the park. She was assaulted multiple times by the male in different areas of the park. She described the man as late twenties, white or light complexion Hispanic male with dark short hair, with the same build, and a chin-strap style beard. She said he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with black drawstrings, black sweat pants, and had no visible tattoos or piercings.

The suspect is believed to be the same male due to the similarities. In both incidents, the male answered an online ad for an escort type service. He lured the women from other cities to the same fake address and then asked them to meet him inside the park area. He tells the victims he is a police officer, threatens to taser them, has the sounds of a police scanner coming from his pocket, and tells them if they cooperate he will let them go. Both victims were able to assist with their own composite sketches.
