The American Civil Liberties Union is taking over an Arizona woman's federal lawsuit against Republican Congressman Paul Gosar after he blocked her on social media.
J'aime Morgaine of Kingman sued Gosar in September after he blocked her from his Facebook page. Her suit says Gosar violated her right to free speech.
12 News reports that attorneys with the ACLU of Arizona are now representing Morgaine in the lawsuit. The ACLU says Gosar's policy blocking individual users on social media violates constituents' free-speech rights.
A Gosar spokesman called the suit pointless.
