Defense Attorney In AZ Bribery Case Want New Trial

Defense attorneys are petitioning for a new trial in a high profile Valley bribery case.  A juror in the Corporation Commission bribery trial admits she brought into deliberations some notes she'd made at home.

The Arizona Capitol Times reports defense attorneys not only want all jurors questioned, but are asking for a new trial.

The case centers around alleged payments of money funneled by lobbyist Jim Norton to former Commissioner Gary Pierce and his wife Sherry Pierce by Utilities owner George Johnson in exchange for favorable votes for Johnson Utilities.
