The Real Wild & Woody Beer Fest Is Back

The Real Wild & Woody Beer Festival is back.  It's Phoenix's beer festival filled with all kinds of treats. Treats like barrel-aged beers, specialty Cask brews and other favorites..

It features 70 plus breweries from Arizona and around the country with well over 300 different types of beers plus bites from some of Phoenix's best restaurants.

Real Wild & Woody happens at the Phoenix Convention Center Saturday, July 28th.  Rob Fulmer, the Executive Director of the Arizona Craft Brewer's Guild, tells us this event should be great for not only craft beer lovers, but those looking to try new and exciting brews. Fulmer, himself, is excited to try the beers himself and is very much looking forward to the pickle gose collaboration brew from 12 West Brewing and Grand Canyon Brewery modeled after Sonic's pickle juice slushie.

A gose is a German style, unfiltered beer made with malted wheat.  Gose brews are typically sour and tart.

Tickets for this festival, Real Wild & Woody, are only $57.  Get them here. Admission includes beer and food samples from some of the best breweries and restaurants in the Phoenix area.

Don't worry Real Wild & Woody is inside and fully air conditioned at the North Hall at the Phoenix Convention Center, starting at 2.

In addition, Fulmer also tells us breweries are helping Arizona's economy.  He says, 'one brewer represents 35 jobs down stream' and they are also great places to meet your neighbors.  There are currently over 100 breweries across the state, including several award winning spots right here in the Valley.
