Governor Ducey Going With Law, Not Church

The governor of Arizona is siding with the law, not the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis recently said executing people on death row is an attack on human dignity and hopes to get rid of capital punishment.  Governor Doug Ducey told the Capital Times that he's listening to the Pope, but says he's a practicing Catholic who took an oath to uphold state law and there's nothing on his agenda pushing a death penalty discussion.

Right now there are 117 inmates on death row, including three women.
