Phoenix police detectives are identifying the man they say was driving a stolen U-Haul truck that hit and killed a woman as he fled from police. Thirty-nine year old Shawn Nelson is facing numerous felonies including first degree murder and unlawful flight.
Nelson is accused of breaking into a mobile phone store yesterday morning. When officers arrived on scene, Nelson allegedly sped away in the U-Haul hitting a patrol car, a tow truck hauling a semi-truck and 45-year old Dawn Bestenlehner who was waiting for her ride home.
