Two Funerals Show No R-E-S-P-E-C-T for Pres Trump

For the second day in a row, the living have used the dead to throw shade at a sitting President. First the reverend Al Sharpton lowered the boom on Trump from the pulpit of a Baptist church. Acknowledging that he misspelled respect, the Rev went on to explain that someone needs to teach President Trump how to respect.

The very next day, Meghan McCain didn't name President Donald Trump as she spoke at her father’s funeral, but the target of her message was clear.

“The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming and bold,” Meghan McCain said. “She is resourceful and confident and secure. She meets her responsibilities. She speaks quietly because she is strong. America does not boast because she has no need to. The America of John McCain has no need to be great again because America was always great.”

Wow.

Meghan McCain has secured for her father a legacy of bitterness. Trump Derangement Syndrome is destroying the establishment. That's fine. However, it's also destroying the Republic.

Not so fine.
