Garcia Wants Ducey To Rescind His Endorsement

David Garcia is calling on Governor Doug Ducey to withdraw his endorsement of Brett Kavanaugh for the U.S. Supreme Court over allegations of sexual assault.

The Democratic candidate for governor wants Ducey to rescind his endorsement until the allegations can be fully investigated and resolved.  A California woman is alleging that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school when they were high school students in Maryland decades ago.  Kavanaugh has denied the allegations.

Ducey signed a letter in July endorsing President Trump's pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme court.

Garcia said Ducey's appointment of Senator Jon Kyl to finish out Senator John McCain's term was specifically designed to ensure Kavanaugh's nomination.
