Barbers And Salons To Be Closed in AZ.

Governor Doug Ducey is clarifying a list of essential businesses across the state of Arizona. Originally, Ducey's shut down order allowed for barbershops, hair & nail salons, tanning salons, tattoo shops, spas and massage places to remain open.

Now, the Governor is updating the order. The businesses listed above now must close by Saturday, April 4th at 5PM. The updated order will also force all communal pools to close until the order is listed. Those are public pools and polls at hotels, apartment and condos.

Additionally, swap meets must close. Public parks can remain open; however, splash pads, playgrounds, basketball courts and public restrooms must close.

Services that can remain open include:

  • Personal hygiene services including in-home services such as assistance with bathing and cleaning for vulnerable adults and those who are disabled.
  • Daycare centers providing care for individuals with children serving in any essential services category.
  • Hotels and motels, to the extent used for lodging, including RV Parks, and hotel and motel restaurants providing delivery or carryout food services.
  • Respite and palliative care.
