Democrats are furious President Trump has a chance to nominate another Supreme Court Justice. This could potentially put the Nation's High Court in conservative hands for years to come. If POTUS' new Justice is appointed there would be 6 conservative Justices (Thomas, Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and the new justice) to the liberals 3 (Breyer, Sotomayor, Kagan).
Several Democrats have become very vocal about changing the entire country by stacking the Supreme Court with liberal judges if they win the White House and Senate. Here's a list of Democrats who have come out in support of stacking the court.
Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono.
Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey.
Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy, III.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder.
Additionally, several Democrats were asked about it earlier this year during the Democrat primary. NPR put it this way: Even before Ginsburg's death, several Democratic presidential hopefuls had said they were open to the idea, including Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Kamala Harris of California, now the vice presidential nominee.
Though, Democrat candidate Joe Biden wouldn't answer the question.
Biden has said in the the past he's against stacking the Supreme Court. No doubt, the progressives will push Biden to do so if he wins. Democrats have also threatened to add more liberal judges to federal benches by expanding the number of judges there as well as trying to grant Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood. Remember, elections have consequences.
