In a newly declassified letter, Director Of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe says the CIA asked the FBI to investigate Hillary Clinton's campaign because they were concerned they were stirring up the Trump Russia allegations as a distraction.

The Central Intelligence Agency thought the allegations credible enough to alert then FBI Director James Comey and then Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok.
