This is not a joke. The state of California wants people to wear their mask in between bites of food. Seriously. Look at their flyer.
'Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend?' The new suggestions say. 'Don't forget to keep your mask on in between bites. Do your part to keep those around you healthy.'
This is 2020.
In 2020, the government wants you both stay home and go out to eat to save local businesses. At first, the government told us to wear your mask at the restaurant until you get you to your table and anytime you get up from the table. California has now taken that one step further. They want you to wear your mask at the table and only pull it down to chew your food. While chewing, please pull your mask back up.
As Martin points out on Twitter constantly touching your mask goes against CDC guidelines.
It's pretty clear California wants you to be scared.
