The National Guard has been posted in Washington D.C. ever since the Capitol Riot that took place on January 6th. They have not been told to stand down or go home. Why is that? The Biden Administration and the Capitol Police want them to stay an extra two months for safety protocols due to looming threats in the area in the form of bomb threats and more plots for more violence.
Is this any more than conjecture? Is there anything to this other than fear?
The message this sends to the American people is not a strong one. They are fencing up Washington D.C. for "safety" yet it is more likely that they are hiding from the truth that they are simply isolating themselves and hoping that any controversy blows over until the optics point in their favor.
The argument is that the optics are never going to point in their favor and that is the thought of many in this country. They just want to show "strength" by remaining in the status quo. This is another overreach in an already feckless Biden Administration.
