Popping The Bubble On Cancer

Chewing gum is turning into a life saver!  A company in Alabama, called Volatile Analysis, has come up with a type of gum that's able to determine whether a person has cancer.

Here's how it works:  As you chew it, the gum absorbs these things called 'volatiles' in your saliva.  The gum is then analyzed to determine whether it contains the chemicals present in the body when a person has cancer.

The company's CEO says the volatile organic compounds are unique to each types of cancer.  By determining which of those compounds are in the gum, doctors can tell which type of cancer is present in the patient.

Holy groundbreaking Batman!
