Former FBI Agent “disturbed” by Anti Trump Texts

Retired 30 year FBI agent Steven Hooper joined the Mike Broomhead show to react to the recent breaking news story about anti candidate Trump text messages from FBI agents. Steven Hooper is currently an Associate Professor Global Security and Intelligence at Embry Riddle University.

Hundreds of text messages released between two FBI officials who worked on Robert Mueller’s Russia probe show the agents exchanging anti-Trump feeling. One conversation discusses how to “protect the country from that menace “referring to President Donald Trump.

Steven Hooper describes the texts as “disturbing “and he doesn’t believe that there is a place for this in the FBI. Working at the FBI he believes agents “have to stay neutral “and “check those opinions at the door.”  He also expressed concerns that these issues were known throughout the FBI but were not handled in house before they became public.
