Both Sides of the Tax Plan

The House and Senate are expected to vote on the GOP tax plan this week bringing much needed tax reform to the US.

The Mike Broomhead Show wanted to hear from both sides of the issue and welcomed RNC Spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany and DNC Vice Chair Michael Blake onto the show to talk taxes.

First Up is Kayleigh McEnany.

“As of February expect your paycheck to get bigger” and the lies and myths of the opposition  will be exposed is how McEnany framed her argument for the GOP tax plan.

She also pointed out that there are “4 trillion dollars of special tax breaks and loopholes and deductions for the rich” that are eliminated shooting down the argument that the tax plan only favors the wealthy.

She says that this is a “historic victory” for President Trump to finally get tax cuts to go along with the soaring economy in the US.

Listen to the full interview with Mike Broomhead below.

Next is Vice Chair of the DNC is Michael Blake.

Michael Blake’s argument against the tax plan is “why not do this for everyone.” The DNC Vice Chair complains that the tax cuts for individuals expire while the cuts for corporations are permanent.

Mike Broomhead and Mr. Blake go at each other when it comes to deficit spending and reduction of services. Broomhead argues against that any services that will be effected after this tax plan passes and the Democrats were never deficit hawks until they wanted to fight against this plan.

It’s a must listen and the full interview is available below.
