Senator Ron Johnson says the FBI has lost five months worth of messages between two employees working investigations into Hillary Clinton's emails and Russian meddling in the election. The Wisconsin Republican said texts between FBI agent Peter Strzok and lawyer girlfriend Lisa Page were lost because of a tech failure. It was previously revealed that Strzok and Page exchanged anti-Trump texts. Strzok was re-assigned from the investigation into Russian meddling when Special Counsel Robert Mueller learned about the texts.
Johnson learned about the technical failure after the FBI turned over nearly 400 other texts to the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
