Organizers for the Red for Ed movement say they will be back at the Arizona Capitol on Monday to continue their protest for more pay for educators and no tax cuts.
On Thursday it was reported that 50,000 #redfored supporters marched from Chase Field to the Capitol. On Friday reports indicated that about 4,000 people showed up at the Arizona Capitol to rally.
Joe Thomas, the President of the Arizona Education Association, said at the Friday rally that supporters should prepare to come back on Monday and walkout of their classrooms for a third day. Teachers on social media talked about continuing the protests as schools remain closed to start the week.
