CNN's Editor at large Chris Cillizza tweeted out a picture of President Trump. The photo was of the President pointing to the sky during a commemoration of Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty. In the photo posted by Cillizza it appears to have a cross hairs over the photo of President Trump.
Cillizza deleted the Tweet and went on to explain that the software he uses for creating GIFs was the problem. Cillizza says the software he used to capture the GIF uses the cross hairs as their graphic while capturing images. That explanation doesn't explain why he would post a screen cap of the software instead of the GIF he intended to post. It seems he would almost have to screen cap the photo while making the GIF and that would have to be intentional. Not buying the excuse. Cillizza has been a vocal critic on CNN for the tone in politics ,but this seems that he is part of the problem.
