City Council debates Money for Illegal Aliens separated by Deportation

The Phoenix City council voted for a $4.4billion budget but it wasn’t without debate. The Center for Neighborhood leadership has argued for  a legal defense fund from the city for families of people who are separated by deportation. The fund would also help legal costs for people injured by Police.

Councilwomen Laura Pastor said that the Center for Neighborhood Leadership’s idea were not heard and therefore she voted no on the budget.
