City Council tell Police to back off DUI enforcement for illegal aliens

Democrats on the Charlotte City council are asking police to cut back on traffic check points and DUI enforcement in neighborhood where illegal aliens live. The reason it make them nervous to see the cops according to WBT radio.

The council was asked to approve a grant to pay for traffic check points. Democrat Braxton Winston demanded to know why police was doing DUI check points and the same time there were illegal alien round ups. Police say that they stepped up DUI enforcement because of a recent fatal crash. Winston was not happy with that answer and says Police needs to be more sensitive to the illegal alien and immigrant communities.

Another Democrat Larken Egleston says police should back off on traffic enforcement to make sure they "maintain the trust " in certain areas of Charlotte.

Thank god we live in Phoenix.
