At an El Paso rally earlier this week potential Democrat Presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said "walls don't save lives walls end lives." This comment went viral among both sides of the political isle including Rep. Dan Crenshaw. He tweeted out a challenge to Beto O'Rourke about the border walls in El Paso.
@BetoORourke should answer a simple question tonight with respect to the border debate: If you could snap your fingers and make El Paso’s border wall disappear, would you? Because this DHS graph shows that when the wall was built, illegal crossings dropped significantly. - @DanCrenshawTX
Beto responded to Rep. Crenshaw's challenge by saying he absolutely would take down the walls and he believes that El Paso citizens would want to take them down as well.
