Scottsdale Changes Mind About City Flag

Yesterday on The Mike Broomhead Show we said the idea to change the Scottsdale City Flag is silly. We said that after the City Council there was moving forward with a plan to replace the old flag with the city seal of a mounted cowboy with a flag featuring a cartoon like saguaro blossom.

Now the city of Scottsdale is stalling. One council member, Solange Whitehead changed her mind. She tells the Arizona Republic, "I got a lot of feedback from everybody saying that the iconic horse and rider is what says Scottsdale...I really feel like I owe it to the citizens to bring that back up with a design that is what everybody wants."

So the council is going to revisit the issue on March 5th.

Mayor Jim Lane also told the Republic it's certainly not the biggest issue facing Scottsdale. We believe the city was wise to listen to Wednesday's Mike Broomhead Show and see the error of the saguaro blossom. #SaveTheCowboy.
