Rep. Maxine Waters wanted to questions the heads of some of the 7 biggest banks in the United States. They were appearing before Congress to see how they have changed since the housing market crash and the fall of the economy in the late 2000s.
Rep. Waters went right at the banker and their part in student loan debts and how are they going to help fix the problem.
There is a Student loan crisis. $1.5 trillion in student loan debt. Last month this committee received testimony that last year 1 million student loan borrowers defaulted. Which is on top of the 1 million borrowers who defaulted the year before. What are you guys doing to help us with this student loan debt. Who wants to answer first ?
